On Saturday, May 14th we will be holding the first NEOSWA Annual Meeting and Tour at the Valerio Family’s Eccoci Ranch and Tree Farm near Medical Springs. Join us for a day in the woods to hear from speakers, see equipment demonstration, interact with other woodland owners, and enjoy a BBQ lunch. A variety of topics related to small woodland management will be covered, including:
- Reforestation & Tree Transplanting
- Management Planning
- Silviculture & Density Management
- Small Woodland Operations
- Fuels Reduction
- Mastication
- Forest Health
- And More!
This tour will be outdoors, rain or shine, and will require moderate walking/hiking. Please dress accordingly. Admission and lunch are FREE, but be sure to register. We look forward to seeing you there!

Save the date for the 2022 Oregon Family Forest Convention, a joint meeting between OSWA and the Oregon Tree Farm System. Program will feature educational sessions, meetings, awards, social activities, and tours. Tours will be hosted by Oregon Tree Farmer of the Year Ed Easterling at the Crestmont Family Farm. An emphasis on issues and opportunities in the active management of forest resources, through lectures, in depth discussions, and field based events, will further honor the unique and exceptional example provided by the Starker Family.
