Bill to Restrict Insurance Company Use of Wildfire Risk Maps
Senate Bill 82 is headed to Governor Kotek’s desk to be signed into law. The bill restricts how insurance companies can use wildfire risks maps, which are currently being updated, following push-back from the community last summer. Fire Season Begins
As of Friday, July 1st, the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) has declared the beginning of fire season on forest lands in northeast Oregon.
